What’s a brand? I’m getting a crash course in this right now.
It’s a bunch of adjectives that rule your world. It’s asking the people who believe in you what they see and then giving it back to them in an elegant structure, more than the sum of its parts. It’s a mood more than a plot, more like a poem than a story.
In practical terms your brand is a style guide — fonts, colors, design elements, rules for all occasions. You stick to it like your mission so people, including yourself, don’t get confused.
At any rate, we’re doing this (that’s more of an aspirational we than a royal one). Things may be quiet around here for a bit until we have all these unglamorous details squared away. We’ll announce big updates on the email newsletter first.
In the meantime, you can help keep us in business (and at least getting out of the desk chair from time to time to walk to the mailbox) by buying books and such, subscribing, and letting other folks know about your favorite titles. Our selection is growing all the time. And we’ve got deals…
